Our 20th playground coming soon to Asbury Park, NJ
We are thrilled to announce that our 20th playground will be built at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Asbury Park, NJ on Saturday, June 4, 2016. OLMC has been wishing for a playground for more than 90 years!!! Thanks to our incredible supporters we can make their wish come true. They are so excited to share the new Kompan playground with their students and the entire community.
In this K-8 school of around 220 students located in the inner city, 90% of their students qualify for free and reduced lunch. They accept tuition on a sliding scale and are grateful to their many benefactors who make this possible. The administrators and teachers are very dedicated to providing the best possible opportunities for their students, and keep in touch with them as they graduate and move on to high school and college. They have comprehensive after school and summer programs that provide additional opportunities and will also make good use of the new playground.
We can’t wait to turn their parking lot into this first rate play space for the kids!
