The long awaited School 12 playground dedication ceremony was part of a fun day for volunteers of all ages on a sunny day in early June. NJCDC led the community in brightening up the school yard by painting games and murals. War Memorial Park is a focal point in this densely populated Getty Square neighborhood. This City of Yonkers park is a place where neighbors share in community and sporting events. And now, coming this June, we are donating a new Kompan playground designed for children ages 2-12. The new equipment will give the children a safe place to swing, spin, climb and slide.
