A Playground for Palabra Viva in Las Vegas
On Tues., March 24, 2015, Alexandra’s Playground again helped to fund and participate in the annual American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons playground. This year, the playground was built for the very deserving children and community of Palabra Viva church in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Hundreds of volunteers—orthopaedic surgeons, allied health and industry partners, and families—gathered at Palabra Viva to help transform the site so that community children will have a safe and accessible playground to play. The community surrounding Palabra Viva will now be able to enjoy their new Safe and Accessible Playground for years to come. And, the hundreds of children and families who wait in line for the church’s food bank each week will have activities to help pass the time.
This was the 6th year we supported and participated in this build. Thank you to all the volunteers who came out and participated! And a big thank you to our donors for helping to make this happen.
