A new playground for School 26, Paterson, NJ

The community was brimming with energy on Saturday, June 3, 2017, as more than 125 volunteers joined together to build a new Alexandra’s Playground for School 26. This new playground will support the more than 570 K-8 students in the school, and provide a much needed safe play space for this densely populated community.

The efforts of so many people went into making this playground a reality, from the early planning to the day of the community build. Sending a big shout out to – all who continue to support and donate to Alexandra’s Playground, the Paterson School District, CTS Group Architecture/Planning PA, New Jersey Community Development Corporation, Team Red White and Blue, Paterson Fire Department, Paterson Cares, and the many volunteers who joined us on a sunny day with determination and big hearts.

The Kompan playground is designed for ages 5-12, and includes a double play tower, two slides, a bridge, climbing nets, and a supernova. Big smiles and squeals of laughter will be filling the playground for years to come.
