Playground Build in Afghanistan
Alexandra’s Playground funded a playground for a girls school in Kabul, Afghanistan through Playground Builders. The new playground was completed in December 2011 and benefits the lives of 6,000 girls who attend the school on a rotational schedule. But this playground has a much wider impact. As the only safe place to play in this community, the playground serves all of the local children, their parents and teachers. It provides a much needed safe, central gathering place for families to come together to socialize, play and be active.
