It was wonderful to gather at Ardsley Country Club with so many of our supporters for the Gift of Play. We are grateful to everyone for bringing their friends and colleagues along for a fun day of golfing, dining, and celebrating our important work. Their generosity at this event helps us continue to reach more children who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity for safe and active play in their community. Thank you to our sponsors! JOIN OUR 30 DAY VIRTUAL CHALLENGE RACE Visit GIFTOFPLAY.GIVESMART.COM. Select the purple “virtual challenge’ button for more info and a link to REGISTER. Our Virtual Race travels up Mount Everest. At our online Racery course, you’ll enter your daily activity and watch your Avatar move along the course. You can be active any way that works for you: run, walk, spin, swim, yoga, play tennis, and so much more. Your activity and fundraising can earn you raffle entries! And email us for a kid focused fitness tracker sheet.

We used the Racery virtual race platform to create this event. Racery has virtual race options for charities and companies, ranging from a one day “Virtual 5k Anywhere,” which tracks participants’ times and displays where they’ve run or walked, to a two-week virtual marathon allowing racers use up to 80 exercises to advance on a 26.2 mile virtual route.

What a fabulous day for our first annual Golf Outing! We loved spending the sunny day at Ardsley Country Club with so many wonderful supporters. It felt great to be able to meet in person again. Congratulations to Jeff and his team of high school players, Alex, Greg and Jack, for their first place win! With winners for a variety of fun contests, the biggest winners of the day were the children growing up in underserved communities who will be the recipients of everyone’s generosity in Giving the Gift of Play.

Our event is hosted on the Racery‘s virtual race platform. Using Racery, companies build virtual races for staff fitness, and charities create virtual races for fundraising and community.

School 8 in Paterson, NJ is getting a new playground!

The students at School 8 in Paterson, NJ, are excited for their new playground. This June the community will join together to build their new Kompan playground in a day. Under the supervision of professional installers, the volunteers will build a new space for the children to climb, slide, spin, and explore.

A spring playground for PS26 in Paterson, NJ

We are thrilled to share the design for our next playground, to be built at PS 26 in Paterson, NJ. On June 3rd with the help of many volunteers, we will transform their asphalt lot into this beautiful Kompan playground where the kids can climb, spin, slide, and explore.

At this K-8 school of 570 students, where they all receive free or reduced lunch, the students and faculty can’t wait to have a playground outside their doors. And the community is excited to have a place to enjoy with their children after school and on the weekends.

Thank you to all of our supporters for helping make this playground a reality for this PS26 community.

NY Giant Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie announces Big Plays for Alexandra’s Playground

Hey NY Giants Fans – Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is helping Alexandra’s Playground raise funds for more playgrounds and programs with his Big Plays for Playgrounds pledge campaign. Make a monetary pledge for every forced turnover the Giants record this season.

Be entered to win a signed NY Giants helmet when you make a pledge of at least $1 or a flat donation of $25 or more. And receive a NY Giants mini helmet singed by Dominique when you make a pledge of at least $10 or a flat donation of $250 or more.
